Scheme Set to Cut Waste

The residents of the Yanji community in Yangpu District can use a machine that turns “wet” household waste into animal feed and fertilizer now.

The machine was installed on a trial basis and others might be set up if the scheme runs well, the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau said.
