 Charrettes  Statistical Analysis | It is a project about urban planning strategies developed for a 14 km2 area of an industrially based town. Sustainable design principles were employed through public planning charrettes and undertaking of innovative market research techniques to assist stakeholders in forming a project vision and guiding detailed development strategies. Statistical analysis was used to understand the issues of importance amongst the populace in the future growth of Lecong town. A vision statement for the project was developed by the Stakeholders themselves. Based on Vision and Principles, 3 development strategies were developed with a clear priority of development. A clearly defined assessment approach was adopted through further charrettes and the results were utilised and assessed to create a Preferred Development Strategy (PDS). |
