The steel structure of Zhuhai Opera House was capped on August 14th, following the construction work of walls and refined decoration. As the first opera house built on an island, Zhuhai Opera House will expect its first show at the beginning of 2016.

The opera house contains two ‘shell’ shape buildings whose structures are steel. Around 10,000 tons of steel have been used.

The buildings are designed to be safe which can resist typhoons, heavy rain and earthquake.

With 1600 seats, the main theatre is built based on architectural acoustics and amplification system is not necessary.
