Intelligent Transportation System Established

Yinchuan will set up an intelligent transportation system, so as to provide big data support for environmental governance.

According to the Regulation on Traffic Environmental Protection Card of Vehicle in Yinchuan (on trial), vehicles in Yinchuan will be installed with a traffic environmental protection card before June 30th, 2017. Car owners failing to do so within a certain time limit will be fined 500 Yuan.  

This measure is launched to establish the basis of an intelligent transportation system, designed for functions like real-time remote inquiry, traffic forecasts, intelligent route guidance and parking guidance, parking reservation, etc.

It’s understood that the traffic environmental protection card is a RFID electronic card used in multi fields, helping identify motor vehicles, handle vehicle related issues, offer access to public services, pay electronic bill, provide traffic related big data, etc.
