Local Government Renovates Urban Villages

Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province

The municipal government of Wulingyuan district, Zhangjiajie, Hunan province decided to invest 60 million yuan to renovate urban villages.

The tourism industry in this area is developing rapidly as Wulingyuan is rich in natural resources and unique landscapes. It is the first national forest park in China and was selected in World Heritage List in 1992. Besides, 93% of the population there is minority nationality, making this area more special.
