Barry Wilson was invited to attend the UCLan China-UK Science and Innovation Exhibition and Symposium on 2nd December 2014.

He was able to discuss research outcomes, technical requirements and business opportunities with University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) academics visiting from UK.

Of particular interest was a presentation by Dr John Lonsdale on an innovative recycled material for the construction Industry called AluSid (Alumino Silicate Design); composite tiles formed from recycled glass and ceramic waste.The unique new eco-material has significant sustainable credentials, being manufactured from no less than 97% recycled mineral waste and involving no cement or resin binders leaving it also totally re-recyclable at end of life.
