Cleaner Gasoline for Pearl River Delta

No.92 and 95 gasoline are being used.

Fourteen Pearl River Delta cities in Guangdong Province, have started using cleaner varieties of fuels. 


No. 92 and 95 will replace No. 93 and 97 gasoline formulas as of July 1 2014.
The practice will be expanded across the whole province starting October 1st. Meanwhile, higher-quality diesel will also be put to use in 2015.


The National V Standard fuel varieties, which are equivalent to the Euro V standard, are believed to be able to reduce the amount of pollutants. Authorities said this wouldn’t cause an increase in fuel consumption of drivers.

The retail price of No. 92 and 95 is expected to rise by 0.1 yuan per liter.
