Historic Building Suffers Fire Incident

Old Building on Fire

Guanying Family School, a two-story Qing dynasty building, suffered a fire incident on May 29th. No casualties are reported, but the building’s roof has been burnt out.

It is among the first group of 398 Guangzhou Historic Buildings, which is also the second one suffering fire accident this year.

There are still several families living in this building, one of which is a rag picker. He stuffed the yard with all kinds of wood or paper which might be a cause of the incident.
