Guangzhou New Cars Implement Stricter Emissions Standards

For environmental concerns, Guangzhou is now implementing stricter car emission standards for newly-purchased cars or old cars wishing to obtain a Guangzhou license.


The city has adopted National V emission standards, which is equal to the European standard V.  Those failing to meet the requirement will be unable to register in Guangzhou. Environmental experts say that after implementation, motor vehicles will emit much less nitrogen oxides.
