Seminar: China's Generation Y - Retaining Young Talent

Barry Wilson was a panelist at the recent Seminar on 'China's Generation Y - Retaining Young Talent', organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong.


The seminar was an opportunity to review and discuss the report recently undertaken by HAYS PLC; worldwide recruitment consultants; Gen Y and the World of Work – A report into the workplace needs, attitudes and aspirations of Gen Y China. The Report findings were presented by Ms. Kitty Lu / Senior Manager, South China for Hays. Following the presentation, a Q&A panel discussion with audience participation further discussed the changing recruitment environment and the initiatives required for improved staff retention in the GenY China labour pool. As well as Barry Wilson the panelists included Sophie Liao - HR Manager, Mars Information Service China; Nanpi Huang - Ex HR Director, PepsiCo China Limited; and Catherine Shao - Director of Human Resources, The Langham, Shenzhen.
