Yuehai subdistrict in Nanshan District is planning to install a 200-spot bicycle stand near Shenzhen University Station on the Luobao Line before the end of the month, to facilitate bicycle-commuting in the area.

Shenzhen High-tech Industrial Park is home to hundreds of high-tech companies that are farther from the station than a comfortable walking distance.

Many employees in the area ride bicycles between the Metro station and their office, but have a hard time finding somewhere near the station to leave their bikes.

Subdistrict planners said the bicycle stand will offer 200 spots near Shenzhen Hightech Industrial Park’s shopping plaza. The stand will operate on a membership basis, with free spots given to people who sign up for membership cards.
