The company model is based on retaining a small, core studio team which directly assists the design director; Barry Wilson with day to day design and management of projects. This set up means that the whole studio are completely integrated and that all staff are able to work with and learn directly from the Design Director himself. As such the Design Director is involved at all levels of the project in order to ensure quality communication and understanding and staff are able to learn rapidly and remain motivated and focused. Documentation can be produced in English, Mandarin and Cantonese by in house staff. Larger projects are undertaken by collaborating with various partner firms and personnel, rather than upscaling the studio size. Each project lends itself to collaboration with different specialists and this leads to being able to draw in the best people from around the world for each particular project as well as constantly introduce new thinking, approaches and experience to both the design director and the studio team. ...collaboration Close associations have been formed with several important complementary specialist consultants in adjacent professions. These associations provide the most appropriate team structure for each and every project and with the most highly qualified staff available from around the world. They include urban and town planners, architects, engineers, interior, graphic and lighting designers, horticulturalists, ecologists, economists, statisticians and researchers.
