A two kilometer long underground circular traffic lane is being constructed at Wuhan CBD, becoming the longest in China.

Located at level minus two, the circular road has 3 lanes running anticlockwise along Zhujiang Road, Shangwu West Road, Fanhai Road and Shangwu East Road. 12 exits and entrance ramps are designed to connect underground parking lots and shopping streets.

At Wuhan Central Business District, there are Wuhan Centre, World Trade “Twins Tower” and other landmark buildings on the ground surface. Under the ground, there is a four-level complex which contains the functions of subway stations, business area, transportation and civil defense. The total construction area will be 2.6 millions
square meters.
