  | He was able to discuss research outcomes, technical requirements and business opportunities with University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) academics visiting from UK. Of particular interest was a presentation by Dr John Lonsdale on an innovative recycled material for the construction Industry called AluSid (Alumino Silicate Design); composite tiles formed from recycled glass and ceramic waste.The unique new eco-material has significant sustainable credentials, being manufactured from no less than 97% recycled mineral waste and involving no cement or resin binders leaving it also totally re-recyclable at end of life. |
