Tons of sludge was dumped illegally into a remote abandoned fish pond in Daya Bay, to the southeast of Shenzhen.

Some witnesses said there were at least 20 trucks carrying sludge there every night in the last 30 days.

Daya District Environmental Protection Bureau started investigation after receiving a tip-off from the public.

They found that Hengling Sewage Plant, located at Longgang District, Shenzhen, is responsible for the illegal dumping and had already handed over this case to the police office, ordering the sewage plant to clear out the sludge,

Hengling Sewage Plant has failed to respond for this event. It is one of the most important projects in Shenzhen, claiming that they are adopting the advanced technologies and equipments.
