Shenzhen ranks first among 286 Chinese cities in terms of urbanisation quality, according to a recent report by China Economic Weekly. The research set 40 indexes to judge a city’s urbanisation quality from three aspects, including the city’s development quality, efficiency of urbanisation and harmony between urban and rural development. The report says Shenzhen has the highest urbanisation quality in China, followed by Beijing and Shanghai. Ulanqab in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region ranks at the bottom of the list.
