Shenzhen Central Main Road to Build BRT

Xincai passage, the first colored bus lane which is set in the middle of road in Shenzhen has been in operation since the end of July, leading to shorter bus travel time and better traffic.

Shenzhen transportation commission revealed that Xincai passage will be extended to the north and south, forming a 23.5 kilometers long bus rapid transit corridor on Minzhi Road and Caitian Road. This corridor will be open for public buses for 24 hours and 38 sets of bus stops will be allocated along.

The bus transport capacity can improve 40% to 50% on this central road in Shenzhen and the traffic congestion near Meilin Checkpoint will be released dramatically.

The project will start at the first half of next year and is expected to be used at the end of next year.
