Shenzhen Airport to Have 5 New Intl. Routes

China Southern Airlines will open five international routes from Shenzhen to Thailand and Japan in the summer and fall.

According to a meeting Monday, the new flight to Bangkok operate everyday starting from March 29, and the flight to Krabi, Thailand, will operate three times a week, starting July 2.

The route to Osaka, Japan, will start service at the end of June with four flights per week.

Two other flights to the Japanese cities of Shizuoka and Ibaraki will operate two times a week from the end of June, China Southern Airlines Shenzhen Co. said Tuesday.

The company operates 73 routes from Shenzhen to domestic and overseas cities.

The new routes will bring the airline’s total international routes from the Shenzhen airport to 11, accounting for 70 percent of international routes departing from Shenzhen.
