BWPI Director Barry Wilson attended the final Presentations and Exhibition for students of Surveying Studio 5 (Department of Real Estate and Construction at the The University of Hong Kong) on 26 November, 2014. Mr Wilson acted as facilitator to 4 student groups over the semester. |
The assignment for the studio is to investigate how the real estate and construction sector can contribute to the development of a Smart Hong Kong. The brief is to develop creative, forward looking and socially inclusive solutions that address the Smart City from a built environment perspective. The students are expected to integrate and apply knowledge from previous taught courses to tackle authentic and/or ill-defined problems in the land conversion process; develop self-directed, self-motivated learning capability and collaborative learning skills; develop problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, time management, communication, negotiation skills. |
