A South Korea's green consumption incentive system will be introduced to China.

"Green Card", a program accessible to the whole society of South Korea, refers to a system that gives financial incentives to customers purchasing environmental friendly products.

Li Junyang, secretary-general of the Beijing-based National Strategic Union on Smog Prevention and Control, has signed a memo of understanding with South Korea's Environmental Industry and Technology Institute.

Li explains the cooperation between both environment watchdogs would also introduce Chinese society to a "carbon point system" and "carbon cash-bag system" that is implemented in South Korea; the systems offer discounts for households based on their greenhouse gas emission reduction in water, gas and electricity saving efforts.
