Shenzhen rainy season starts off with heavy rains last Tuesday, which led many residents to worry on the risks coming from lidless manholes of the city sewers. Several netizens are calling for the government to place nylon nets over the manholes to prevent people from falling in and sustain injuries or worse death.

Manholes found at construction site around Shenzhen are often lidless and is dangerous especially on rainy days were these manholes are hard to see with water flowing. By installing nylon safety nets over these manholes can prevent any tragedies and it will only cost the government a few yuan. The said nylon safety nets can bear a weight of almost 300 kilograms.
