 New Houses in Shenzhen | The average price of new apartments in Shenzhen was 18,900 yuan (US$3,027) per square meter in 2012, a drop of 0.5 percent from the average price in 2011, according to a 2012 Shenzhen real estate analysis released by Szhome.com. It marked the first time that new properties’ average price in Shenzhen had dropped for two years in a row. Although the city’s average housing price increased since the second half of last year, prices for new apartments were still lower than in previous years and most of the new apartments sold last year were in outlying areas such as Bao’an, Longgang, Guangming, Pingshan and Longhua.
