A ferris wheel named ‘Guangzhou Eye’ will be built on the south bank of Luxi Island, Pearl River.

It will be located at a seafood market where business is slow now. The area will be upgraded as a theme shopping park where the street along the river will be developed as a bar street and a yacht wharf will be built as well.

To the west of this ferris wheel is the newly-built Guangzhou Circle, to the north is the 60 years old Guangzhou shipyard and to the east-north is the man-made Haizhu Lake.

The ferris wheel contains 60 capsules which can contain 356 people for sightseeing. The project will be constructed at the end of this year and will be completed next December.
